In accordance with the Dutch Act on Financial Supervision Versio is required to prevent customers to withdraw any funds they have deposited on the online wallet.
Article 3:5, first paragraph of the Act on Financial Supervision:
"In the Netherlands, it is prohibited to invite or receive repayable funds in the course of one’s business beyond a restricted circle from parties other than professional market operators or to have such funds at one’s disposal."
This means that money deposited by customers in the online wallet, cannot be withdrawn from the online wallet. If Versio would offer this feature, Versio would operate as a bank according to the Act on Financial Supervision. This is not allowed by Dutch law.
